FIVE YEARS. FIVE EVENTS. ONE BIG CELEBRATION.

Girl Grind UK (GGUK) is turning 5, and we’re marking this milestone with a year-long celebration like no other!

Since our launch, GGUK has been at the forefront of empowering women and non-binary creatives in the West Midlands, breaking barriers in the arts, culture, and social impact sectors. Now, as we celebrate five years of growth, impact, and transformation, we’re bringing our community together for an unforgettable journey into the past, present, and future of GGUK.

WHY ‘5’ MATTERS – A REFLECTION OF OUR MISSION, VISION & VALUES

This isn’t just an anniversary, it’s a moment of reflection, recognition, and radical change. ‘FIVE’ represents:

A Future Rooted in Our Mission
We remain dedicated to creating an equitable and inclusive creative industry, where women and non-binary individuals, especially those from ethnically diverse backgrounds, can thrive, lead, and innovate.

Guided by Our Values
Every event, every initiative, and every connection we make through ‘FIVE’ will reflect our commitment to:

  • Inclusivity – Ensuring diverse voices are heard, uplifted, and empowered.

  • Integrity – Holding ourselves accountable to the communities we serve.

  • Innovation – Challenging the status quo and pioneering new opportunities for creatives.

A Vision for the Next Five Years
The next five years will be about growth, expansion, and lasting impact. Through ‘FIVE’, we aim to:

  • Expand our programs and initiatives, reaching more creatives nationwide.

  • Strengthen our network of collaborators, building new pathways for representation.

  • Drive systemic change, ensuring diversity and inclusion are embedded in the creative sector at every level.

The GGUK ‘FIVE’ Report – A Deep Dive into Our Journey

For the first time, we’re launching our public sector report, which explores:

  • The impact of our first five years, capturing our growth, challenges, and wins.

  • Our Theory of Change—how GGUK is transforming creative industries and communities.

A bold five-year roadmap, shaping the future of our work and the sector at large.

We’re not just celebrating where we’ve been, we’re setting the stage for where we’re going. Our ‘FIVE’ campaign will not only reflect on our journey but will lay the foundation for the next era of GGUK, inviting collaborators, supporters, and community members to be part of what’s next.
